Nanobot medicine can prove to be an elixir of life. Although nanobot technology is still under development. But it's application in the medical field could be a game changer. Let us try to understand how nanobot medicine will change the medical field for good.
Nanobot is a robot of very small size, nanometre to be precise. So the question arises how a small robot can accomplish such big tasks? The answer is in their numbers. A Nanobot swarm can accomplish any task for which they are designed. So let us see how nanobot medicine will help in different medical scenarios.
Firstly, many incurable diseases like cancer and AIDS can be cured with nanobot medicine. Nanobot swarm can be programmed to kill all cancer cells thus curing a person from cancer. AIDS virus are nanometres in size so also nanobot. Thus it can be programmed to kill AIDS virus.
Secondly, people with various ailments of heart, liver, kidney, etc, can take respective nanobot medicine and get cured. Take the example of heart disease. It occur due to bad cholesterol in blood vessels. Nanobot swarms can be programmed to remove these blockages and thus cure heart disease.
Thirdly, people die in accidents due to excessive loss of blood, damage to internal organs, breakage of bones or due to any combination of the aforementioned items . If nanobot swarm are programmed to heal the wound quickly, and repair the damaged organs and bones, then even after a near fatal accident, a person will not only survive but also heal quickly.
Fourthly, these days we are frightened of new viruses and bacteria. We know the damage they can cause and also the economic pain they make us suffer. Our recent experience with Covid 19 has shown us everything. But the problem with vaccines and even medicines are, it takes time to develop and administer them. Fifthly, we humans are very fragile. Radiation exposure damage our cells. We need oxygen to survive. We need food for energy, and water to accomplish many of our internal processes. What if nanobot devices can be used that will make us less fragile. Like for example we can have a nanobot device that will convert carbon dioxide to oxygen, when outside atmosphere is thin or oxygen is less.
Sixthly, we can use nanobot medicine for any kind of venom or toxic materials. The nanobot swarm will absorb the toxic material from our body and expel it out from our body.
Seventhly, nanobot swarm can be programmed to destroy free radicals. They can also be programmed to repair damaged DNA. Although repairing the DNA would be tricky. But if we can accomplish this, our aging process will stop and we will never grow old. And all our organs which would otherwise get worn out due to aging will remain healthy and young.
So just imagine, if one can have nanobot medicines for all the above mentioned points, wouldn't it be for him the elixir of life. Although this might take time but it is still a possibility.
