YouTube, the second largest searched website always device innovative ways to improve its video sharing platform. It has recently been experimenting with shopping links. YouTube's capability to provide direct access to shopping material will further be enhanced with the introduction of shopping links in its videos.
YouTube is in the process of introducing shopping links within videos. YouTube is currently experimenting or rather already started working with embedding links inside videos which it claims will help viewers as well as sellers.
At present though, the platform uses links in the form of cards and banners in order to help creators interact with the audience and provide relevant references through other YouTube videos.
The introduction of shopping links will however enhance YouTube's ability to provide direct access to shopping material and will thus help buyers as well as sellers.
As per a report by Engadget, few of the viewers on YouTube have already claimed to have spotted a shopping bag icon on the bottom left corner of the screen. Tapping on this icon would further list the items featured in the videos.
The report also further says that only a select few creators are part of the pilot program to access direct shopping links within a YouTube video and the pilot program is currently being run for US YouTube viewers only on Web, Android, and iOS.
The new feature, when launched, will help influencers and creators provide readily available shopping links and thus will help the YouTubers from the point of remuneration. The buyers will be benefited by the fact that they will get access to stuffs that they like.
At present most content creators use the description box under the video to provide relevant links which usually vary from relevant references to shopping websites.
With the introduction of this new feature both the buyers and sellers will be benefited, thus adding value to YouTube platform which has always been known for providing value to its users.
